The Marlboro County Courthouse is located at 105 Main Street, Bennettsville, SC.  There are six flags flying in front of the Courthouse:  The American Flag with the State of South Carolina Flag flying beneath it on the same pole, Spanish Flag, British Flag, French Flag, and Scottish Flag.

Regular Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am until 5:00 pm with the exception of holidays.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Regular Meeting of County Council

Tuesday, July 14, 2020

Marlboro County Council will hold its Regular meeting for the month of July on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 6 p.m.  Due to the COVID-19 threat, the meeting area will be closed to the public but access will be accomplished via live video steaming to YouTube.

Any citizens wishing to address members of Council during the meeting should notify Patricia Bundy, Clerk to County Council, by email at no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, July 13th. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.



Redhill - Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 10 am - 6 pm and on Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm

Wallace - Tuesday & Thursday: 10 am - 6 pm and on Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm

Blenheim - Wednesday: 12 noon - 4 pm.

McColl - Thursday & Friday: 10 am - 6 pm and on Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm.


March 18, 2020 update on COVID-19.

Marlboro County government is closely monitoring developments involving the coronavirus and is following the interim guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), SC DHEC and other relevant agencies.

Friday morning, officials representing Marlboro County Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, Marlboro County Administration, and the City of Bennettsville met to discuss the COVID-19 situation and coordinate any possible response should it be warranted.

Citizens are encouraged to follow the guidance of the CDC available in the internet.   Basic guidance is as follows:

·         Wash hands often

·         Maintain a distance of 6 feet from others

·         Keep your hands away from your face

·         If you feel sick, contact your family physician

·         If it is an emergency call 911

Officials will continue to meet regularly as warranted.   Citizens will be notified on various media outlet, social media, etc. should there be a local response resulting in a change in the operations of City or County operations.
